How do I connect my calendar?
Under More → Connect calendar. “Connect iPhone calendars” shows all calendars set up on your iPhone: iCloud, Google, Outlook and Exchange. Choose which ones Todoly should show. Calendars by subscription URL (ICS) and .ics files work there too; subscriptions are part of Premium.
How do I join a meeting?
If an event contains a link to Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, Webex or FaceTime, Todoly shows the meeting at the top of “Today” shortly before it starts, with a “Join with …” button. Tap the event in the timeline to see the meeting ID and passcode, ready to copy, and the invitation without the lengthy boilerplate.
How do I edit an event?
Tap the event in the timeline, then Edit. This works for events from your iPhone calendars; events from calendar subscriptions can only be viewed. If you turned one of your own events into a task and then move the task, the event moves along in your calendar. “Undo” in the notice brings back the old time.
How do I dictate a task?
In Quick add, tap the microphone and start talking, for example “Dentist tomorrow at 3pm for 45 minutes”. After a short pause, Todoly stops listening and you see what it recognized. Apple’s speech recognition runs on the iPhone; the first time, iOS downloads the language for it.
How do I connect Trello?
Under More → Calendars and Trello → Connect Trello, sign in with your Atlassian account and choose your boards. Cards that are assigned to you or have a due date come into your day as tasks. Check one off in Todoly and it’s done in Trello too. Trello is part of Premium.
How do I start the focus timer?
For the task that’s running right now, “Start focus” appears in the timeline and at the top of “Today”. For any other task, you’ll find it in the editor. The down arrow minimizes the focus timer, and it keeps running. “End” stops it; the time counts toward Review.
How do I move a task?
In the timeline, press and hold the icon and drag; drag the bottom of the capsule to change the duration. Swipe right to move a task to tomorrow; swipe left to reveal “Delete”.
How do I sync my iPhone and iPad?
Turn on More → Sync with iCloud on both devices. Both need to be signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account. Sync is part of Premium.
How do I get my tasks from the app into the browser?
In the app, sign in under More → Account or create an account there. Todoly then merges the tasks on your iPhone with those in your account and keeps the app and browser in sync. In the browser, sign in at todoly.de/app with the same email address. Sync is part of Premium. Signing out leaves everything on your iPhone; “Delete account” removes the account and all the data in it.
How do I back up my data?
More → Save backup creates a file with all your tasks, goals, templates and notes. “Restore backup” brings them back, in the browser too, at todoly.de/app.
How do I buy Premium, and how do I cancel?
In the app under More → Todoly Premium: €3.99 a month, €24.99 a year or €59.99 one-time. You cancel subscriptions in your iPhone’s Settings under your name → Subscriptions. On a new device, “Restore purchases” brings Premium back.
How do I redeem a voucher?
Sign in at todoly.de/app and choose Settings → Account → Redeem a voucher. If the voucher came as a link, the code is already filled in. Premium then applies to your account, and in the app too as soon as you’re signed in there under More → Account with the same email address.
I’m not getting any reminders.
In the app, check under More → Reminders that they’re turned on, and in iPhone Settings → Todoly → Notifications that Todoly is allowed to send notifications. Todoly reminds you of tasks with a time in the next seven days.
